Syracuse, NY -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford hit the road for a weekend matchup at SUNY ESF on Saturday. The Panthers recorded their second straight win, defeating the Mighty Oaks 3-0 in Syracuse.
The Panthers controlled the majority of possession, outshooting SUNY ESG 13-6.
They went in front in the 20th minute, when Brady Hathaway converted from the penalty spot. It was his second of the season. After the break, the Panthers drew another foul in the box and received another penalty kick in the 50th minute. Freshman Holden Kelly stepped up and also successfully converted his shot to double the lead. 10 minutes later, Kyle Carlsen sent a cross into the area where Alex Stockton won a header and redirected the ball into the goal.
Brady Hathaway led the Panthers with 4 shots and a goal scored. Holden Kelly also scored and took 3 attempts. Alex Stockton scored the final goal with an assist from Kyle Carlsen. Kelly and Stockton both recorded their first collegiate goals in the victory. Christopher House made 4 saves on the way to his second consecutive shutout.
The win moves the Panthers to 3-2-1 on the season. They will be back in action on Tuesday, Sept. 16th, when they host Penn College at Rathburn Family Field.
