Slovick Named AMCC Co-Wrestler of the Year, 1st Team All-AMCC Selection

Bradford, PA -- University of Pittsburgh at Bradford wrestling team member Dennis Slovick continued to receive recognition for his outstanding senior year on Tuesday as he was named the AMCC's Co-Wrestler of the Year and 1st Team All-Conference Honoree.

Slovick becomes the first Panther to win the award since the conference began sponsoring men's wrestling in 2022-23. He shares the award with Sean Malenfant of Alfred State, who has won it two of the past three years.

Slovick was also dominant in his final collegiate season, posting a 25-7 record overall, with 16 pins, one tech fall, and two major decisions. He was near perfect in dual matches, posting a 16-1 record, pinning 11 opponents while also adding one major decision and one tech fall. Slovick is the winningest wrestler in Pitt-Bradford program history and became the first Panther to surpass 100 career wins this January. He was the focal point and leader for the Panthers as the team also set a program record with nine dual match victories.

Slovick also earned his 4th career All-Conference honor. He was the 1st team selection and conference champion at 165 as a freshman, made 2nd team as a sophomore (165) and junior (174), and now once again is 1st team as a senior at 174. At the AMCC Championship Tournament, Slovick was the top seed in his class, earning a first-round bye. He pinned his opponent in the semifinal round before winning the championship with a 15-11 victory.

While the conference awards have been given out, the season is not yet complete for Slovick and the rest of the Panthers. They will be back on the mats this weekend as they head to Ithaca, NY, for the 2026 NCAA Regional Qualifying Tournament. Slovick, who has earned a spot on the podium the past two seasons, will look to become the program's first national-qualifier.
