Panthers Wrap Up Season at NCAA Region II Qualifying Tournament

Ithaca, NY -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Wrestling team had its 2025-26 campaign come to an end on Friday as they completed competition at the NCAA Regional Qualifying Tournament. The Panthers tallied 8.5 points and finished in 18th place.

The Panthers did not have any wrestlers reach podium positions; however, three were able to pick up victories at the tournament.

Senior D.J. Slovick finished his highly decorated collegiate career with one final win at 174. After dropping his opener by decision, Slovick pinned his opponent in the consolation bracket in 54 seconds for his final win. Slovick finishes his career with 109 wins, the most in program history. 

Nikolas Fegert had the most wins for Pitt-Bradford, winning two bouts in the consolation bracket. He lost his opener 11-1, but dominated his next two opponents with a 16-1 tech fall victory and a pin.

Cade Stern also picked up a victory for the Panthers, winning his consolation bracket match by an 8-3 decision.

Ray Worsen also closed his collegiate career. He was not able to pick up a win at the regional, but finishes his career with 59 wins.
