Bradford, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford wrestling team hosted its first dual match of the year on Thursday as it hosted Saint Vincent in KOA Arena. The Panthers struggled to get their footing against the Bearcats and were only able to win one bout, dropping the match 47-6.

Cade Stern started the night with a tight match, erasing an early deficit to tie his bout at 125 at 7 each. Unfortunately, he was not able to finish off a pin and lost by a 13-10 decision.  

The only win of the match came at 184, from D.J. Slovick. The Panthers' leader was dominant in his bout, quickly gaining control of the match and pinning his opponent in 1:10.

The Panthers will have a chance this weekend to get back in the dual match win column, as they will head to Scranton to compete in the Electric City Duels on Sunday.
