Bradford, PA. -- The Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference released their Athletes of the Week on Monday Afternoon. Gavin Thompson of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford wrestling team was named AMCC Wrestler of the Week.

Wrestling in the Electric City Duals, Thompson won all three of his matches as the Panthers went 2-3 and finished in 5th place. 

In his first match, Thompson made quick work of his opponent, pinning him in 1:04. Match two was much tighter, as he outlasted his opponent from Oneonta State, winning 1-0. To close the event, he picked up another quick pin, finishing the match in 1:37.

This is the second time Thompson has won the award in his career, winning it last year after a 4-1 finish at the Baldwin Wallace Invitational.
