Panthers Begin SUNYAC Championship Meet with 7th Place Finish in Medley Relay

Buffalo, NY -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's swimming team kicked off the first day of the 2026 SUNYAC Championship Meet at Flickinger Aquatic Center in Buffalo on Wednesday night. The Panthers fielded one relay team on the opening night of competition, which finished 7th.

The Panther relay team of Carly Evers, Isabella Cercone, Madison Foote, and Emma Slocum competed in the 200-yard medley relay, finishing 7th  of 9 teams with a time of 2:01.18.

Evers started the race with a 30.73-second backstroke leg, while Isbella Cercone posted the 4th-best breaststroke split on the day at 31.19 seconds. Foote completed the butterfly leg with a time of 26.62 seconds, and Emma Slocum brought the race home with a 26.62-second freestyle split.

The Panthers picked up 24 team points with their finish. They currently sit in 9th place through 3 events. 

Pitt-Bradford will be back in the pool tomorrow with the preliminary round beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the finals at 6:00 p.m. The following Panthers will be competing.

Avery Yard, Isabella Cercone, Carly Evers - 50-yard freestyle.
