Bradford, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's swimming team wrapped up its 2026-27 regular season on Saturday, hosting Penn State-Altoona on Senior Day. The Panthers picked up a trio of victories, but fell 127-50.
Before the start of the action, the Panthers took a few moments to recognize two graduating seniors, Isabella Cercone and Madison Foote. Cercone is a 3-time All-AMCC honoree, specializing in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke events. She was also the 2022-23 Pitt-Bradford Female Rookie of the Year. Foote is a three-year member of the team, competing in distance freestyle, backstroke, and individual medley events. She was a part of two program record-holding relay teams.
The meet started well, as the Panthers were able to win the 200-yard medley relay. Emma Slocum, Cercone, Foote, and Carly Evers finished the race in 2:07. 80, winning by 1.68 seconds. The Panthers nearly pulled off the relay double, as the team of Cercone, Foote, Avery Yard, and Evers finished .69 seconds behind the winning team in the 200-yard freestyle relay, posting a time of 1:55.73.
Cercone and Evers had the only individual victories for Pitt-Bradford, each winning their only individual event. Cercone took the 100-yard freestyle, winning with a time of 59.06 seconds. She defeated the field by 2.37 seconds. Evers won the very next women's event, the 100-yard backstroke. Her time of 1:09.21 was 1.04 seconds ahead of the four-swimmer field.
Foote also swam in just one individual event, the 200-yard IM. She took 2nd with a time of 2:47.31.
Slocum and Yard each swam in a pair of individual events. Slocum finished 2nd in the 200-yard freestyle (2:24.18) and 3rd in the 500-yard freestyle (6:45.65). Yard was runner-up in the 100-yard breast stroke (1:29.95) and 4th in the 50-yard freestyle (31.14).
