Panthers Fall to Lions on the Road

Erie, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Women's Swimming team was on the road on Saturday, as they headed to Erie for a dual match with Penn State-Behrend. The Panthers could not keep up with the Lions, but did pick up an event win in the 50 Free. They lost the meet 123-36.

Isabella Cercone was the Panthers' best performer of the day, earning the lone win for Pitt-Bradford and an additional 2nd-place finish. Cercone was victorious in the 50-yard Freestyle, winning the short event by .14 seconds with a time of 26.38 seconds. She followed that up by finishing as the runner-up in the 100-yard freestyle. She swam the race in 58.68 seconds, finishing 2.63 seconds after the winner. 

Madison Foote had a pair of 4th-place finishes in the 200-yard freestyle and the 200-yard backstroke, while Emma Slocum added another in the 500-yard freestyle.

Pitt-Bradford falls to 0-3 to begin the season. They are back in action on Saturday, Nov. 15th, when they head to Allegheny for a dual meet with the Gators.
