MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Pitt-Bradford women's soccer team dropped its road contest with the Allegheny Gators, 4-0, on Wednesday, Sept. 24.

For the second match in a row, Pitt-Bradford (6-3) surrendered an early and costly goal to the opposition that it never recovered from. The Panthers couldn't find an answer for the offensive attack the Gators threw at them all afternoon.

Allegheny (7-2) outshot the Panthers in the first half, 7-2. Pitt-Bradford rebounded with better offense in the second period and tacked on eight shots. The Gators went on to fire 17 total shots to the Panthers 10.

Freshman goalkeeper Sarah Dailey registered five saves between the posts, while surrendering the four goals. Junior defender Jamie Christensen led the Panthers offensively with three total shots and one on goal.

Allegheny found the net for the first time with just over two minutes ticked off the clock. The Gators' Greta Hilbrands connected on a thru-ball to Jessie Thiessen who sent a one-timer into the net from ten yards out for the 1-0 advantage.

The Gators connected on three more shots during the first half and entered the break leading the Panthers, 3-0. In the second half, Allegheny found the net one more time to equal the final margin.

Pitt-Bradford returns to the Kessel Athletic Complex on Saturday, Sept. 27. The Lady Panthers host Franciscan for a 1 p.m. conference match.
