Bradford, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's lacrosse team saw two of its players recognized by the AMCC on Monday, as Addison Molampy and Makartnee Mortimer were each named Athletes of the Week for the second time this season.
This is the second time this year that the pair has swept the conference's weekly lacrosse awards.
Molampy scored five goals on 10 shots, with five ground balls in a 1-1 week for the Panthers. In the comeback 7-4 victory over LaRoche, she registered a hat-trick on six shots, including the game-winning goal. Molampy currently leads the AMCC in goals and shots, and is 2nd in total points and assists.
Mortimer tallied 14 ground balls and caused 13 turnovers for the week. At La Roche, she registered eight ground balls and eight turnovers, while also picking up an assist. Mortimer leads the AMCC in caused turnovers and is 3rd in ground balls.
Molampy, Mortimer, and the rest of the Panthers will be back in action on Tuesday, April 7th, when they take on Mount Aloysius at Rathburn Family Field. Opening draw is slated for 6:00 p.m.
