Bradford, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's lacrosse team saw two of its players recognized by the AMCC on Monday after a perfect 3-0 week in North Carolina for Spring Break. Addison Molampy and Makartnee Mortimer were named the AMCC's Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week after the three impressive victories.
Molampy, a freshman from Wallingford, CT, tallied 14 goals and eight assists over the three contests. She was also highly efficient, taking 23 shots while putting 20 on target. She also caused four turnovers and picked up six ground balls. In the win over Warren Wilson, she totaled seven goals and four assists. It is her first career athlete of the week award.
Mortimer, a junior from Westfield, NY, spearheaded the defense in the three victories. She collected 15 ground balls over the three games, while also causing seven turnovers. It is also her first conference player of the week award.
The Panthers return to action this week with two more games. They will take on Elmira on Wednesday, before ending their 8-game road stretch with a home game on Saturday against Thiel.
