Bradford, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's lacrosse team had one of its team members recognized by the AMCC after winning its inaugural game on Saturday. Lily Thuman was named the conference's Defensive Player of the Week after picking up the win in goal for the Panthers.

Thuman allowed just two goals in her collegiate debut. She made 8 saves while also picking up numerous groundballs outside of the crease in the win.

Thuman is the first women's lacrosse player to win a player of the week honor.

The Panthers will be on the road for their next 7 contests. They are back in action this Friday, when they travel to Cedar Crest for a 6:00 p.m. start.
