Bradford, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team is primed and ready to begin a new era in 2025-26.
The Panthers are under new leadership, as 2023 alum and former assistant coach Ekaterina Wilson has taken over for Coach Gregg Hoover. Wilson bowled for the Panthers from 2019 until 2023, and then served as an assistant coach last season.
Last season, the Panthers earned the 3rd seed in the AMCC Championship Tournament. They picked up one win at the championship, but then fell to #2 William Smith and #5 Hilbert to finish the event in 4th place. Brookelyn Garvey was the Panthers' sole representative on the All-Conference team.
The changes for the Panthers are not just at the top, however, as they will have to replace the 4-time AMCC All-Conference performer, Garvey. Erin Wales will step into a leadership role as she is the most experienced bowler on the roster. Emma Pablic is also back to provide some experience to a team that has four freshmen: Natalie Burrows, Kathatrine Codgill, Sara Paryz, and Jasmine Smith.
The Panthers begin their season on Saturday, Oct. 11, at Penn State-Behrend's Grapevine Invitational. The first AMCC Round Robin will be held Nov. 15, with the second on Feb. 14. The Panthers will host two dual matches at Byllye Lanes in Bradford. They take on Penn State-Behrend on Dec. 6th and Roberts Wesleyan on Mar. 14.
