Panthers Win 3 at Brother Lacy Tourney, Graham Makes All-Tournament Team

Latrobe, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team was back in action on Sunday as they traveled to Latrobe to compete in the Brother Lacy Tournament. The Panthers went 3-2 on the day and Jordyn Graham was named to the All-Tournament team for her performance.

The Panthers got off to a tough start in the tournament as they struggled to find their rhythm on a tough oil pattern. They lost their first game of the day 807-685 to Penn State-Behrend. Brookelyn Garvey led the Panthers with a score of 180, while Graham was the Panthers' 2nd best scorer at 151.

Pitt-Bradford was able to come back in their second match of the day, defeating Pitt-Greensburg 814-764. Garvey once again had the high game for the Panthers at 188, with Graham finishing just behind her at 187. Sarah Newland posted a score of 167, while Meghan Schwab rounded out the top four for the Panthers at 160.

The Panthers continued rolling well in match three as they picked up an 817-782 victory over LaRoche. In the match, Schwab rolled the Panthers' best match of the day as she finished with a 191. Ekaterina Wilson also stepped up in the match, finishing with a 178.

The Panthers lost their momentum as they faced the hosts, St. Vincent, in match four. Falling to the Bearcats by a score of 829-688. Garvey and Graham finished the game with identical scores of 167, while Sarah Newland posted a 145.

The Panthers were able to finish the day above .500, as they defeated Pitt-Greenburg for a second time to close the event. They beat the Bobcats 742-726 behind a 177 game from Graham. Newland stepped up with the Panthers' 2nd best score of 164, while Olivia Shultz stepped in and rolled a 148.

Jordyn Graham finished the day tied for 2nd in total pinfall, as she registered a 5 game total of 846 pins. She had an average of 169.20 on the day. Brookelyn Garvey was just behind her in 5th place, knocking down 827 pins in 5 matches. Her average for the tournament was 165.40. Sarah Newland and Meghan Schwab finished the day just 3 pins apart, as they averaged 143.6 and 143.0 pins per match respectively. Ekaterina Wilson bowled in three matches for the Panthers, with an average of 126.67, while Olivia Shultz replaced her in two matches and averaged 130.0 pins per match.
