Panthers Return to Lanes with 1-2 Day at Penn State-Behrend

Erie, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's bowling team made returned to competition for the first time in 2022, finishing the day 1-2 at Penn State-Behrend.

The Panthers opened the day with a tough 18 pin loss with a score of 823-805. Jordyn Graham was the Panthers' high scorer with a 185. Brookelyn Garvey rolled a 172, while Ekaterina Wilson bowled her highest game of the day with a 167.

The Panthers battled back in the second match of the day, winning 828-822. Garvey took the lead in this game as she posted a 190, while Graham was second with a 170. Meghan Schwab stepped up with the Panthers' third-best score with a 161, also her highest tally of the day.

Unfortunately, the Panthers were unable to maintain momentum in the rubber match, falling 811-785. Garvey once again led the Panthers as she posted the team's highest score of the day with a 199. Wilson bowled a 166 and Schwab finished with a 158 to round up the Panthers' top three.

Garvey finished the three matches with a 187 pinfall average. Graham finished with a 167.6 average after a tough closing game Wilson was just behind her with an average score of 161.6. 

The Panthers will be back in action next weekend as they travel to Altoona, Pa. to bowl in the Red Flash Invitational, hosted by St. Francis University.
