Panthers Win One, Drop Two Against Daemen

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford bowling team returned to action for their final matches in the Fall portion of their season, winning the opening game and dropping the final two against Daemen College.

The Panthers started the day with an 864-847 victory over the Wildcats. Jordyn Graham led the Panthers in the match, finishing with a 195. The Panthers had three other bowlers post scores over 170. Meghan Schwab posted a 182, Brookelyn Garvey finished with a 178, and Sarah Newland was just behind them with a 171. Ekaterina Wilson rounded out the scoring with a pinfall of 138.

The Panthers were unable to maintain the momentum, as they fell in match number two 900-783. Garvey was able to improve her score from the first match, posting a 209. Schwab was the only other Panther to post a score over 150, finishing with a 153. Wilson also improved her score from match one, finishing with a 145.

To close the day, the Panthers fell by just 5 pins in the rubber match, losing 861-856. Garvey once again led the Panthers, improving her score yet again to finish with a 234. Schwab also had her best game of the day, rolling 196. Graham was also able to return to her normal form, finishing the day with a 170.

The Panthers wrap up the first half of their season with a 14-14 record. They will have over a month off before their next competition, a dual match at Penn State Behrend on Saturday, January 22nd.
