Young Named SUNYAC Men's Swimmer of the Week

Bradford, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's swimming team had one of its members recognized by the SUNYAC on Monday, as Conan Young was named the conference's men's swimmer of the week.

Young had a dominant individual performance against Division II Roberts Wesleyan in a dual meet. Young won all three of his events, with each coming in a different discipline. Young won the Mile by just under 2 minutes, posting a time of 18:01.72. He followed that up with a win in the 100-yard butterfly (57.97 seconds) and the 100-yard backstroke (59.56 seconds).

It is the first time a Panther swimmer has won the award, as this is the first year the program is competing in the SUNYAC. Young has previously won the AMCC's Swimmer of the Week 3 times.

Young and the rest of the Panthers will be back in action on January 24th at Alfred University. They will host their last home event of the season on the 31st, when they host Penn State-Altoona on Senior Day.
