Buffalo, NY -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's swimming team completed its first day of competition at the 2026 SUNYAC Swimming Championships in Buffalo on Wednesday night. After fielding two relay teams, they sit in 8th place with 50 team points.
The Panthers started the day in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Duncan Young, Eric Reynolds, Conan Young, and Greg Tyler finished in 7th place with a time of 1:46.74. Duncan Young started the race with a 28.14-second split in the backstroke. He was followed by Reynolds, who swam the breaststroke leg in 28.49 seconds. Conan Young was third in the pool, posting a time of 25.29 seconds in the butterfly. Tyler closed the race with a 24.28-second split in the freestyle.
Pitt-Bradford also competed in the 800-yard freestyle relay and once again finished 7th. They posted a final time of 7:37.17. Conan Young started with a 1:47.92-second 200, and was followed by Duncan Young, who finished his split in 1:48.80. Reynolds swam the third leg in 1:59.30, and Peyron Haight swam the anchor with a time of 2:01.15.
The second day of competition starts with preliminary rounds in 6 different events. The following Panthers will be competing for a spot in the finals.
500-yard Freestyle - Peyton Haight, Conan Young & Duncan Young
200-yard Individual Medley - Eric Reynolds
50-yard Freestyle - Luke Kerr, Evan Whitmore, Greg Tyler
Preliminary rounds begin at 10:00 a.m. with finals starting at 6:00 p.m.
