Altoona, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team wrapped up the spring portion of its season on Monday as it braved low temperatures and high winds to play in the Pennsylvania Spring Invitational, hosted by Penn State-Altoona at Sinking Valley Country Club. Evan Steffen tied the program's best competition score with a 69 as the team finished 4th with a score of 307.
The Panthers shot a 307 as a team, putting them alone in 4th place. They were 17 strokes behind the hosts, and winners, Penn State-Altoona's A team.
Individually, Evan Steffen tied Matt Moonan's program record, posting a final score of 69. His -3 score put him in 2nd place, as he finished 2 strokes behind the winner. Michael Peterson shot a 4-over 76 for the Panthers, finishing in a tie for 13th. Brady Susi finished tied for 24th at 8-over 80, while Max Bizzak closed out his collegiate career with an 82. Nathan Close missed out on a scoring position, finishing at 12-over 84.
Two Panthers also competed as individuals in the tournament. Andrew Heinze posted a top-20 finish, posting a score of 79. Dillon Georgi was two strokes behind him at 81 in 28th place.
The Panthers have officially wrapped up competition for the 2025-26 season. They finished the fall season in 4th place at the AMCC Championships, and then in their spring season tied the team and individual program records for low scores.
