Bradford, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team saw two of its team members recognized by the AMCC on Thursday, as Evan Steffen and Michael Peterson were named 2nd and 3rd Team All-AMCC.
Freshman Evan Steffen from Bemus Point, NY, made the 2nd Team in his first season with the Panthers. Steffen finished the year with a stroke average of 77.25, which was the 11th best in the AMCC. He saved his best performance for the AMCC Championship Tournament, where he took 2nd place after posting scores of 75 and 74 in the two-round event. They were the lowest scores he posted this season.
Sophomore Michael Peterson from Allegany, NY, was voted to the 3rd Team in his second season with Pitt-Bradford. He was 20th in the AMCC with a stroke average of 79.00. He took 10th place in the AMCC Championship Tournament, with a two-round score of 157. Peterson's best finish was at the La Roche Invitational, where he finished tied for 2nd at 77. His low score for the season was 75, which he posted twice.
The Panthers finished 4th at the AMCC Championship Tournament, while winning one event, the Saint Vincent Invitational.
