Grove City, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team was back on the links Monday afternoon, playing in the Grove City Invitational. The Panthers finished with a team score of 317, putting them in a tie for 10th place.
Freshman Evan Steffen paced the Panthers, finishing with a score of 78, which put him in 33rd place. Senior Max Bizzak was one stroke behind Steffen at 79, finishing in 39th place. Sophomores Michael Peterson and Brady Susi rounded out the scoring for the Panthers, each shooting 8-over par 80. They were in a tie for 45th place. Nathan Close missed out on scoring in the tournament, finishing with a 92. Conner Zaffino played in the tournament as an independent golfer, shooting a 91.
The Panthers will have their final tune-up before the AMCC Championship Tournament next week. They will play in the two-day Sinking Valley Classic in Altoona. Round One will be played on Sunday, Oct. 5th, with Round Two being played on Monday.
