Panthers Victorious at Saint Vincent Invitational

Latrobe, PA -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team continued its strong start to the 2025-26 campaign, winning the Saint Vincent Invitational by six strokes.

The Panthers posted a team score of 308, finishing ahead of the hosts, who finished at 314. The victory is the Panthers' first Invitational trophy since 2022.

Pitt-Bradford had a consistent performance from all competitors, as 4 Panthers finished in the top 10. Max Bizzak and Nathan Close finished in a tie for 6th place by shooting a 4-over par 76. Bizzak carded 16 pars, while Close had 14 pars and avoided the big numbers with 4 bogeys. Evan Steffen and Brady Susi finished two strokes behind them, tied for 9th. Susi also carded all pars and bogeys, while Steffen carded one birdie. Michael Peterson missed the scoring places, shooting an 81 to finish T-14.

Through two events, the Panthers have a tournament win and a second-place finish. They have averaged 304 strokes per event. They will return to action on Monday, September 22nd, when they head to Pittsburgh to compete in the LaRoche Invitational.
