Pitt-Bradford Golf Ready to Tee Off in 2024

Bradford, Pa. -- The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford golf team is ready to return to action for the 2024-25 season, as they will use a combination of experienced players and new blood to continue their push to the top of the conference standings.

Last season, the Panthers finished the year with a 7th place finish at the AMCC Championships with a score of 689. Thei best finish of the year was at the Hilbert Invitational, where they took 2nd. Two Panthers earned All-Conference Honors. Ben Tubbs and Connot Smith both earned a spot on the 3rd team. smith averaged 82.44 strokes per round and had a season-best score of 77. He took 8th at the AMCC Championships with a score of 161. Tubbs was just behind him at 82.56 strokes per round. He tied for 2nd at Hilbert and finished 29th at the AMCC championships.

This season, the Panthers will look to Tubbs and his classmate Brody Kamuda to lead their squad. Kamuda averaged 83.07 strokes per round last season and had a strong Spring season, averaging 78.66 strokes per round. Max Bizzak and Andrew Heinze will add valuable experience and newcomers Michael Peterson, Connor Sauer, Brady Susi, and Shane Wetherington will round out the squad.

The Panthers open their season on Saturday, August 31st, as they host the Pitt-Bradford Kickoff Classic at the Pennhills Club. They will play a pair of 2-day tournaments in September, as well as single-day events at St. Vincent and Grove City. They will close the regular season with a tri-match against Penn State-Behrend and Hilbert at Peek 'n Peak and then head to Butler Country Club on October 14th for the AMCC Championship Tournament.
