Bradford, PA – Fresh off their inaugural competition, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Clays Target team will be hosting the program's first-ever home event as they will welcome two teams to Bradford for the 2025 Pitt-Bradford Clays Target Invitational on Saturday.
The new Panthers team will be joined by programs from Mount Aloysius and the Merchant Marine Academy in a two-session event, to be held at the Bradford Gun Club. Approximately 35 shooters between the three teams will be competing at the event.
"It is really exciting to be hosting our first-ever event," said head coach Jeff Cattoni. "We plan on having a great day of competitive shooting, while also taking some moments to thank all of those who have helped us begin this program, including staff and administration from Pitt-Bradford and Pittsburgh itself, and sponsors such as 3 Rivers Shooting and Midway USA."
Following an invitation breakfast and opening address from key members of the Pitt-Bradford campus community, including President Richard Esch, sessions will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. Session one will consist of 100 rounds in the American Trap Discipline. Session Two will include 50 rounds in the American Skeet Discipline.
Awards will be given to the top two competitors in each discipline, as well as a combined category.
"We can't wait to host this event this weekend and hope to see it grow in future years with more teams and competitors," closed Cattoni.
