Bradford, PA -- A pair of University of Pittsburgh at Bradford student-athletes were recognized by the AMCC on Monday as Krislyn Clement and Alex Colwell were named Conference Players of the Week for their respective sports.

Krislyn Clement, a senior from Webster, NY, was named the conference's softball player of the week. In the opener, she reached in all four plate appearances, going 2-for-2 with a pair of walks, a home run, two RBI, and three runs scored. In the nightcap, she was 2-for-4 with four RBI, including a three-run home run, which gave Pitt-Bradford the lead for good.

It is the first player of the week award for the Panthers this season, and the second for Clement in her career. She was previously named AMCC Pitcher of the Week as a sophomore.

Alex Colwell, a Senior from Kittanning, PA, was dubbed the AMCC Baseball Player of the Week. Colwell led Pitt-Bradford to a 4-0 week as he hit .400 with a home run, six runs scored, and six RBI.  In the sweep of conference opponent Penn State-Altoona, Colwell was 4-for-7 with a three-run home run and three runs scored, slashing .571/.667/1.000 in the two wins.

This is the first time Colwell has received the honor in his career. He is the second Panther to be named an athlete of the week after Maddox Stadler was the conference's top pitcher earlier in the season.
