Pitt-Bradford men's swimmer Lucas Cerchiaro and men's basketball player Evan Greening were named Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Players of the Week, the league office announced Monday.

For Cerchiaro, it marks the second time in the last three weeks he has received the conference's weekly honor.

In the team's weekend dual meet with Washington & Jefferson, the sophomore totaled three individual wins and was a member of the winning 200-yard medley relay team that won in 1:41.96.

Cerchiaro took first in the 200-yard free, 200-yard butterfly and 400-yard individual medley races, accounting for 27 individual points. The Plum, Pa., native has yet to lose a butterfly stroke race this season.

Greening earned Player of the Week honors for the fifth time in his career after leading the Panthers to a 2-1 week and the Geneva College Coaches vs. Cancer Tip-Off Tournament championship.

In the team's season opener versus Buffalo State, the senior forward totaled 21 points and 13 rebounds, and he followed that up with an 18-point, 12-rebound performance against Otterbein in the semifinals of the Tip-Off tournament.

The Fredericksburg, Va., native was named tournament MVP after pouring in a game-high 32 points and adding 14 rebounds to lead Pitt-Bradford past Geneva 87-74 in the finals.

Greening leads the AMCC in both scoring (23.7) and rebounding (13.0) through the season's opening week.
