Pitt-Bradford women's bowler Brianna Saylor was named the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference Co-Newcomer of the Year Thursday.
Saylor, a freshman from Wenatchee, Washington, was the team's top performer at the AMCC Championships, leading the Panthers in total pins fell. Her 179.8 average in the traditional format ranked seventh among all bowlers, and she was named to the all-tournament team for her efforts.
On the season, Saylor ranked third in the AMCC with a 17.4 Baker average and had a 166.1 team match average. She also rolled the highest team format single-game score among all league bowlers, a 256 against Wilmington on Jan. 28.
Saylor is the second Panther this week to be named Newcomer of the Year, joining the swimming team's Nicholas Boyd.
