LaRoche Women Drop UPB, 86-62

The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team (15-8, 11-5) fell 86-62 to LaRoche (20-3, 15-1) on Saturday evening at the KOA Arena.

Prior to the game the Panthers honored their lone senior, Abby Brate, for an outstanding four years with the UPB women's basketball program.

Ali Rinfrette led the Panthers with 18 points and five assists while Anna Colebert followed with 13 points and Darien Lantz added 10 more points in the loss.

Tichina Mitchell was terrific for the Redhawks, scoring 38 points and adding 11 rebounds while Mackenzie O'Donnell followed with 16 points and Sabrina McLin added 14 more in the victory.

The Redhawks outscored the Panthers in every quarter except the second, leading to the LaRoche victory.

LaRoche held the lead from the beginning and never gave it back as they shot nearly 50-percent from the floor and forced 24 UPB turnovers. They outscored the Panthers 23-4 in points off of turnovers in the victory.

The Panthers play their final regular season home game Wednesday against Medaille at 8 p.m. in the KOA Arena.
