BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball program will host its winter pitching and catching clinic Sunday, Feb. 11, Head Coach Tina Phillips announced.
The camp for players in grades 4-12 will run from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., with registration beginning at 12:30 p.m.
For pitchers, the camp will focus on fundamentals and the basics of pitching motion and development of pitches with various pitching drills.
For catchers, different catching drills will help develop the fundamentals of catching, reading batters, fielding/throwing skills and calling pitches.
Both pitchers and catchers will receive one-on-one instruction from Panthers' players and coaches.
All are required to bring a glove and tennis shoes.
If pitchers use a ball smaller than 12", bring a ball. Pitchers do not have to bring their own catcher.
Catchers must bring their own equipment.
No registration deadline is in place.
