BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford softball team spent part of the day Saturday volunteering at the Bradford Manor.
"Doing this event is always special this time of year heading into the holidays," Head Coach Tina Phillips said of her tradition of volunteering at the assisted living facility. "Our players and I have a lot to be thankful for and to give back to others, especially with Saturday being Veterans Day. I like to pass on to my players that it costs nothing to give your time to others."
The Panthers helped serve 300 dinners to the residents and their visiting families, while also setting up the tables, greeting the families and serving drinks and desserts.
In addition, some players helped give manicures to the residents.
The Bradford Manor assisted living facility has been serving the Olean and Bradford area since 1985 with a tradition of excellence in caring for its residents and their families.
