Panthers Look For First AMCC Win With Trip To Franciscan Saturday

BRADFORD, Pa. – The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team will head to Franciscan in search of its first Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference win Saturday.

Pitt-Bradford is most recently coming off a tough defeat at Chatham on Wednesday and suffered a loss to AMCC rival La Roche on Saturday.

As a team, Pitt-Bradford scores 80.3 points per game, boasting the third-best scoring offense in the AMCC.

Desmond Brogsdale is the third-leading scorer in the conference with 17.3 points per game, just 0.6 points shy of the AMCC lead.

Brogsdale has led the Panthers in scoring in the last three games, most recently dropping 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds Wednesday for his first double-double of the season.

Dylan Niedermeyer scored 11 points and pulled down as many rebounds for a double-double on Wednesday as well.

On the season, Niedermeyer averages 11.0 points per game as the second-leading scorer on the team and his 7.3 rebounds per game are tied with Franciscan's Matt Trent for the third-best mark in the AMCC.

Reginald Rogers leads the team with 23 assists and 3.8 per game, the fifth-best average in the conference. Rogers is also the third-leading scorer on the team with 9.2 points per game.

As a team, the Panthers get to the line more than their opponents, knocking down 104 of 146 attempts at the stripe for a 71.2 percent, while opponents have connected on just 88 of 131 attempts for a 67.2 percent.

Saturday's game at Franciscan will begin at 2 p.m., the first game of a doubleheader with the women's team.
