Justina Skamai is in her second year as an athletic trainer at Pitt-Bradford.
Skamai joined the athletic staff in January of 2016 on an interim basis before being promoted to full-time in September. In addition to her athletic training duties, Skamai teaches classes.
Prior to Pitt-Bradford, Skamai served as a graduate assistant at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she was the designated athletic trainer for tennis, swimming, field hockey, lacrosse, cross country, and track and field. Additionally, she was a clinical instructor for undergraduate athletic training students.
As an undergraduate student at IUP, Skamai gained clinical experience with the school’s football, basketball, lacrosse, soccer, cross country, and track and field teams. She also served clinical hours at Homer Center High School in Homer City, Pa.
Skamai is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers’ Society.
She earned a master’s degree in sports science/sport management in 2015 and a bachelor’s degree in athletic training in 2013 from IUP.
Skamai also serves as Pitt-Bradford’s advisor for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club and currently resides in Bradford.
