Dane Renwick enters his first year as an athletic trainer at Pitt-Bradford.
Renwick joined the staff in September after spending the last seven years as a clinical outreach athletic trainer at Keystone Physical Therapy in Blairsville, Pa. His primary duties included providing rehabilitation services and serving as the athletic trainer for Blairsville (Pa.) Senior High School.
He has previously worked with the Johnstown Generals of the Professional Indoor Arena Football League and the Penn State New Kensington volleyball, soccer and men’s basketball teams.
Renwick also served as a teaching assistant at California University of Pennsylvania and Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pa., where he led students through a problem-based learning scenario in an Assessment of Athletic Injuries class and taught evaluation training processes and techniques.
Renwick earned his athletic training certification and Pennsylvania athletic training license in 2008. He also holds a Performance Enhancement Specialist certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association.
He earned a master’s degree in health science and sports studies from California University of Pennsylvania in 2009 and a bachelor’s degree in athletic training from Mercyhurst University in 2008.
Renwick currently resides in Warren, Pa.
