BRADFORD, Pa. -- Junior guard Shirleah Ragin of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for her performance during the period of Nov. 26 - Dec. 2.
Ragin led all scorers in both games this week, powering the Panthers to the program's first 2-0 start to conference play since the 2015-16 season.
Wednesday, she dropped a career-high 24 points to lead Pitt-Bradford to a convincing win against Medaille. She went 9-13 from the field while connecting on 3-5 from long range and collecting five steals.
Then Saturday, she dropped a game-best 18 points to lead the Panthers to a win at Behrend.
For the week, she averaged 21 points per game and shot 51.9 percent, went 9-12 from the free-throw line, 5-10 from three in 35.5 minutes per game.
