BRADFORD, Pa. -- Sophomore Riley Anderson of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's volleyball team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for her performance during the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference playoffs.
The Cresson, Pa., native was the offensive driving force for a Panthers team that pulled off an incredible comeback at and against top-seeded Penn State-Behrend in Sunday's AMCC Championship game.
The sophomore knocked 42 total kills in the playoffs for 3.82 per set while recording 47 total digs (4.27 per set).
In the finals, she hammered 15 kills and a pair of service aces to lead the squad while being named to the AMCC All-Tournament team.
She was also named the AMCC Player of the Week for the second time this season.
