BRADFORD, Pa. -- Senior guard Reggie Rogers of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's basketball team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for his performance during the period of Jan. 1-6.
Rogers helped the Panthers return to the win column in their 2019 AMCC debut, dropping a game-best 20 points on 7-16 shooting and 4-8 from three-point range Saturday against third-place Mount Aloysius.
Though he shined offensively, his clutch defense came up big for the Panthers as he stripped the ball from his opponent in the final 11 seconds with the game on the line to secure the win for the Panthers.
The Sweet Home, Ark., native collected a pair of steals Saturday, helping the Panthers to 12 total which marks the seventh time in the team's 11 games so far this year they have grabbed 10 or more steals.
The 59 points Pitt-Bradford held Mount Aloysius to was the fewest in a single game so far this season.
