BRADFORD, Pa. -- Junior Noah Frederick of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford men's swim team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for his performance during the period of Nov. 26 - Dec. 1.
Frederick qualified for two finals events against some stiff competition in the three-day Wooster Invitational.
Friday, he swam in the men's 100-breaststroke evening finals session after finishing 14th with a time of 1:01.64 in the morning's preliminaries, which was over two seconds shorter than his seed time. In the finals, he finished tied for 12th with a time of 1:01.75.
Then Saturday, Frederick competed in the finals of a breaststroke event, this time, the 200-breast. Frederick finished 18th with a time of 2:17.95, improving upon his time of 2:20.84 that helped him qualify during the prelims.
