BRADFORD, Pa. -- Senior Ali Rinfrette of the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford women's basketball team has been named a Pitt-Bradford Athlete of the Week for her performance during the period of Dec. 31-Jan. 7.
Rinfrette continues to shine as one of the nation's top players, scoring 29 points Wednesday at Penn State-Altoona and 28 points against Penn State-Behrend. She now averages 21.8 points per game to lead the conference and rank in the top-15 nationally.
She did so efficiently this week without outrageous volume as she shot 40.9 percent from the floor Wednesday and 57.9 percent Saturday for a 48.8 percent on the week.
Rinfrette also played all but one minute this week (39.5 per game) and has played 39.1 minutes per game all season, which ranks her fourth in the nation in minutes played per game.
This week, she also hit three three-pointers in each game for six total. She also assisted seven total buckets and pulled down 14 boards this week, including eight on Saturday.
