BRADFORD, Pa. -- Senior Ali Rinfrette has been named a University of Pittsburgh at Bradford Athlete of the Week for her performance during the period of Nov. 27-Dec. 2.
With a free throw mid-way through the fourth quarter Saturday, Rinfrette earned her at 1,611th career point to become Pitt-Bradford's all-time leading scorer in front of her hometown crowd at the KOA Arena.
Rinfrette led Saturday's game with 23 points, needing just 19 to break the UPB scoring record.
Her record-setting performance Saturday went in addition to dishing seven assists, grabbing nine rebounds and securing three steals to power the Panthers to an 88-60 win over conference-favorite La Roche.
On the week, she averaged 38.0 minutes in the team's two games, playing all 40 against Hilbert Wednesday.
She also averaged 20.5 points per game and shot 38.9 percent from the floor.
